We would like to congratulate Omoniyi Abdulmalik Adeosun and Mercy Jesufeyikemi Akinlabi both of Command Secondary School, Ibadan on receiving of the 2022 Yinka Bankole Merit Scholarship Award. Omoniyi was awarded the merit scholarship for been the best graduating SS3 student who is a child of a non-commissioned officer and below of Command Secondary School, Ibadan. Mercy was given two merit awards, the first for scoring the best mock result for SS3 in the West African Examination Council (WAEC) exams and the 2nd for being the best graduating SS3 student at Command Secondary School, Ibadan. The generous donor of these awards, Mr. Yinka Bankole (DIC CENG MIChemE) Bankole, is an alumnus of the graduating class of 1986 of Command Secondary School, Ibadan. He was the best graduating student with the highest WAEC mock and WAEC results attaining 6 A1s and 3 A3s. Mr. Bankole was always a high achiever maintaining an outstanding performance throughout his education in Command College, Ibadan. Mr. Bankole is currently a chartered chemical engineer specialising in flow assurance and working with Eni Oil and Gas. He has always wanted to give back to the school in which as library prefect, the library provided him with infinite reading material for gaining knowledge and discipline to never give up. Mr. Bankole continues to hold the school’s motto “Discipline & Knowledge” in high regard which according to him, will stay with him forever.
Mr. Bankole intends to continue these awards to the best graduating student overall, the best graduating student of a non-commissioned officer and below and for the best mock result for SS3 WAEC.
