Our Paint Your School (PYS) initiative is designed to enable pupils to participate in the painting of their classrooms supervised by selected teachers, parents and school alumni representatives. Participating pupils learn to take responsibility for their learning environment and are more likely to maintain school facilities. They learn vital painting and entrepreneurship skills which will serve them well in the future. They learn to assist others and to work as part of a team playing their part to ensure the success of the task at hand.
These are some of the reasons why we carried out our PYS initiative at the Federal Government College (FGC), Ogbomoso in partnership with FEGOCOOSA 2004 Set.
Special thanks to FEGOCOOSA 2004 Set for part funding this initiative and also to the FEGOCOOSA 2004 Set members who were present to supervise the pupils – Olabimpe Alabi (President – FEGOCOOSA 2004 Set); Bayo Beyioku (Financial Secretary – FEGOCOOSA 2004 Set); Akintayo Suleiman (Project Coordinator, Ogbomoso – FEGOCOOSA 2004 Set).
