In a dedicated effort to promote a love for books and cultivate a reading culture among students, the RETECH Foundation has recently inaugurated 10 RETECH Foundation Book Clubs (RFBCs) at Government Junior Secondary School, Saminaka. We aim to ignite a passion for reading that will not only enrich their academic pursuits but also set them on a path to successful careers.
A total of 100 book club members have been provided with a collection of 100 literary works by the RETECH Foundation. Each RFBC, consisting of 10 members, will assemble monthly for engaging book discussions and reviews, all under the guidance of Hajiya Aminah Aliyu Lere, a dedicated teacher at the school.
Miss Success Samaila, the school Head Girl, expressed her gratitude to RETECH Foundation on behalf of the students, for the laudable project.
We extend our appreciation to Katung Kwasu, RETECH Foundation’s Coordinator in Kaduna, for his outstanding efforts in delivering the books to our eager book club members and coordinating the inauguration.
Our sincere thanks go out to the principal, Mr Muhammed Salisu Ibrahim, and the management team of Government Junior Secondary School, Saminaka, Kaduna State.
