RETECH Foundation Established its First set of Book Clubs in Kaduna State

We are thrilled to share our recent milestone: the establishment of 10 book clubs at Government Girls Secondary School, Maimuna Gwarzo, Tudun Wada, Kaduna. Each book club comprises 10 members who will meet monthly to review books. At the event, 100 books were shared to the 100 book club members.

The Principal of the school, Hajiya Ummakalthum Haruna expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Retech Foundation for this thoughtful initiative. She emphasized the profound connection between influential individuals in society and the world of books. Recognizing the immense impact of reading on students’ lives, she encouraged them to dream big and strive for success. The principal commended the foundation for promoting literacy and providing an enriching platform for students to dive into the captivating world of books.

Similarly, Vice Principal Mrs. Kaka Helen Maji, stressed the transformative power of books and encouraged students to make the most of these valuable resources.

We appreciate the Ministry of education in Kaduna State, the Commissioner of education, Permanent Secretary and the Director of schools in the state for the role they played. The Principal, Hajiya Ummakalthum Haruna; Vice Principal, Mrs. Kaka Helen Maji; and Head of Languages Department, Zaliha Kabir Ahmed are set to oversee the Retech Foundation Book Clubs’ activities at the school. We appreciate them for cooperating with the our state coordinator, Mr. Kwasu Katung to establish these book clubs.

Together, we’re cultivating a love for reading and learning that will empower these students for a lifetime! ????
