RETECH Foundation Book Clubs – Nurturing a Love for Reading

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of 10 RETECH Foundation Book Clubs (RFBCs) at Government Secondary School Makera, Kakuri, Kaduna State. ????

As a part of our commitment to improve the quality of lifelong education and to develop a love for reading amongst public secondary school pupils, we’ve established these 10 book clubs, where members will gather to explore captivating stories and expand their horizons. To kickstart this exciting journey, we’ve provided each of our 100 book club members with 100 books—a treasure trove of knowledge and adventures! ????

Our Kaduna State Coordinator, Kwasu Katung, visited the school last week and was received by the school principal, Mr Muhammed Lawal. Mr Katung expressed to the students RETECH Foundation’s belief that reading has the power to transform lives and communities, and our excitement to embark on this literary adventure with them.

We thank the officials of the Ministry of Education in Kaduna State, particularly the Honourable Commissioner for Education, The Permanent Secretary and the Director of Schools for the role they played in making this happen. We also appreciate the Principal of the school, Mr Muhammed Lawal; the Head of Languages Department, Mrs Josephine Abubakar and the coordinator of RFBC in the school, Mrs Haske for the role they played in making the inauguration a success.
