Mentorship Programme
MENTEES
ADMINISTRATION OF THE MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME
The mentorship programme will be administered electronically. Both mentors and mentees begin the process by completing a profile. Registered mentees can search by a variety of criteria. The e-Mentoring system will display a list of available mentors who closely meet the mentees requirements. After carefully reviewing the mentor profiles, the mentee will submit a request to the mentor of his/her choice. The mentor will receive a notification via email with a link that will allow him/her to login to the system to access the mentee’s profile. The mentor will be able to respond by accepting or rejecting the request.
MENTEES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
⦁ Taking increased ownership for their learning and development as they progress through the Programme by adopting a pro-active approach that goes beyond the minimum requirements;
⦁ Initiating contact with their assigned mentor within 2 weeks of being notified of who this is and thereafter taking increased responsibility for the mentor / mentee relationship as they progress through the Programme by arranging subsequent meetings and driving the agenda;
⦁ Completing any reports, assignments, development plans and learning logs associated with the Mentorship Programme and/or institution in a professional and timely manner;
⦁ Ensuring they make the necessary preparation in advance of any review meetings.
REQUIREMENTS OF MENTEES
Mentees are expected to strictly adhere to the following rules and regulations, failure to adhere to the rules will result in the removal of the mentee from the mentorship programme.
⦁ Mentees must strictly adhere to the code of conduct of RETECH Foundation. Details of the code of conduct will be presented to the mentees as part of their induction into the programme.
