IRENOSEN OHIWEREI

Mrs. Irenosen Ohiwerei holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from the University of Benin in 1998 and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Imperial College Business School, London. She has several international certifications which include Oracle Certified Associate (OCA), IT Service Management Foundation (ITIL), Project Management in a Controlled Environment (PRINCE2) – Foundation & Practitioner and is an Associate Member, Business Continuity Institute (AMBCI).

With over 18 years’ experience working with the Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) Group, her banking experience covers Internal Control, Technology, Operational Risk Management and E-Business and Cards Services. Specific functions which she handled include being the head of business solutions group where the Bank’s systems/processes were constantly reviewed and innovative and efficient systems were introduced to improve on the Bank’s productivity. She also headed the E-Business Projects & Channels Management, Risk Assurance, Information Technology Audit teams at different stages of her career.

She is skilled in building successful teams and stakeholder partnerships by aligning goals with overall global business and organizational strategies. Her belief that superior customer service and innovation are important factors that influence customer behavior have helped her as a charismatic leader and excellent resource manager to direct, motivate and influence cross functional teams to achieve excellent results.

Irenosen is currently the Executive Director of Guaranty Trust Bank (Uganda) Limited.
