RETECH Foundation’s Ethics & Integrity Club initiative is one of RETECH Foundation’s good citizenship programme which offers stimulating community development presentations in public secondary schools across Nigeria, to provide young students with the opportunity to learn core values such as Human Dignity, Voice and Participation, Patriotism, Personal Responsibility, Integrity, National Unity, and Professionalism, to enable them to pursue ethics and integrity as the foundations of their lives.
On Saturday the 6th of May 2023, RETECH Foundation gave a presentation to students at Queens College Yaba, Lagos, to sensitize them on the topic – ‘An Everyday Approach to Sustainability’. The Presentation, which was attended by over 200 Queens College Students, featured three sections including; introducing the students to the concept of sustainability and its importance in their lives and the World at large, an interactive discussion which involved the guest speakers and the students sharing ideas on the crisis posed by a lack of sustainability and the closing remarks by the Guest Speakers which enlightened the students on valuable sustainability practices and how to implement them in their daily lives.
The students were also given the chance to ask questions and over 100 students showed interest in registering for the Ethics and Integrity Club (E&I Club) at the end of the presentation.
RETECH Foundation will like to thank the Guest Speakers, Adebisi Sanda and Olabimpe Alabi for making out time to educate these students on sustainability. We will also like to thank the Queens College Principal, Mrs Obabori, the Vice Principal Academics and teachers of Queens College for their roles in making this event a success.
We would also like to thank the RETECH Foundation Volunteers who worked with the school management team to handle all logistic issues required for a successful presentation.
