Establishment of Ethics and Integrity Club in Ahmadu Bahago Secondary School, Minna

Integrity, ethics, and knowledge about gender-based violence are crucial values that should be instilled in individuals from an early stage. The importance of these values lies in the ability to shape one’s personality and guide one’s actions through life.

This is one of the reasons RETECH Foundation in partnership with RAiSE Foundation established an Ethics and Integrity Club in Ahmadu Bahago Secondary School, Minna where we emphasized that silence is not golden when it comes to sexual abuse. We stressed that speaking out against abuse is essential for ending the cycle of violence and empowering survivors. We encouraged them to speak up if they ever find themselves in such a situation.

Overall, the program was a success. The students were attentive and engaged throughout our discussions. They asked insightful questions and were eager to learn more about these important issues. We hope that the knowledge and values we shared with them will stay.
