Establishment of 10 RFBCs at CAC Grammar School, Akure

Research has shown that poor reading culture is due to high cost of books and that having literate citizens is a pre-requisite for national development, this is one of the reasons why we have launched 10 RETECH Foundation Book Clubs (RFBCs) in CAC Grammar School Akure, Ondo State.

We have also presented the book club members with 10 copies each of 10 different books. To sustain the book clubs and to ensure access to all 10 books by each club member, we encourage our club members to swap books at the end of each month.

The clubs will be coordinated by their teachers, Mrs. Helen Abu and Mrs. Kemi Orji.

We thank our volunteers in Ondo State, the clubs’ coordinators and the principal of their roles in the establishment of the book clubs in their school.
